StarkWare Quantum Move Keeps Bitcoin Chart Cooking Higher
StarkWare completed the first quantum-safe Bitcoin transaction on mainnet without consensus changes, and the market kept its upward streak intact.

Bitcoin just showed it can add quantum-safe spending options while the chart keeps climbing. The confirmation arrived August 26 when a transaction built on Avihu Levy’s QSB method landed in block 964199.
That single mainnet print used hash-based locks plus off-chain signature grinding to shield coins whose public keys stay unpublished. Engineer Tomer Giladi turned the April research into a working spend that paid 5,179 satoshis in fees on a 10,000-satoshi output. MARA Slipstream carried the nonstandard transaction because ordinary mempool rules do not yet support it.
Market stays green through the update
Majors ripped again on August 30. Bitcoin traded at $78,714 after a 1.4 percent gain. Ethereum sat at $2,466.39 with a 1.3 percent lift. SOL pushed to $106.34 for a 2.5 percent move while XRP held $1.40 and DOGE stayed near $0.085385. The session extended the streak of steady bids across spot markets.
Traders watched the same pattern that has held for weeks: incremental gains without sharp reversals. The QSB test added fresh evidence that Bitcoin can evolve its protection layer without forcing a hard break in the rules. That message landed well in a market already pricing in longer-term durability.
Longevity angle draws community focus
Eli Ben-Sasson called the work a passion project that proved Bitcoin carries no built-in expiration date. The method gives holders an opt-in path to move coins into storage a quantum computer cannot open, yet it leaves existing exposed addresses untouched. No soft fork happened and none is required for this version.
Community channels stayed active with the same questions that surface on every security upgrade: how much it costs off-chain and how soon a cleaner path arrives. Several hundred dollars in compute per spend remains the current barrier, but the fact that a live transaction cleared without touching consensus rules gave the timeline extra momentum.
Next steps stay practical
StarkWare noted that a soft fork is still the preferred long-term route for network-wide quantum resistance. The current QSB run serves as an immediate bridge that keeps coins safe until that change lands. Bitcoin holders who keep public keys hidden now have a tested route to move value forward.
The chart reflected the same steady tone. Green candles continued across majors while alts held their ranges. No sudden dump interrupted the session, and the community kept the conversation on the next practical step rather than any panic over quantum timelines.
Prices at the August 30 snapshot showed the market treating the news as another data point in Bitcoin’s ongoing streak of resilience rather than a reason to reprice risk.
